It’s our favorite time of the year: Summer in DC! If you are anything like us you are probably craving a cool margarita on a sunny rooftop just about now. Lucky for us, today is National Tequila Day! Whether you like them frozen or on the rocks, salt rim or without, use our list to delight your taste buds and celebrate this very important holiday with some of the best margaritas in Washington DC!  

Agua 301

Just down the street from Park Chelsea in the Yards Park, Agua 301 serves up some deliciously refreshing, not too sweet variations, including cucumber and jalapeño.  Head over for happy to take advantage of the serene water views while sipping $6 margaritas and noshing on 2 for $5 tacos.

Enjoy the bright and lively atmosphere while you grab a pomegranate margarita with our favorite DC chef José Andrés. Or try his personal favorite, a combination of Milagro blanco and Combier L’Original with fresh lime juice, all covered with “salt air,” a layer of salt foam. Not so sure about salt in foam form? And if you’re feeling like a Margarita Especial you can choose from a variety of tequilas, simply add Grand Marnier or Cointreau, and create your very own.
