Summer is heating up and that means cookouts, festivals, and enjoying the hot summer weather with friends. One event that we’ve had our eye on for a while is The Capital Chili Cookoff and DMV Beer Festival which takes place on Saturday, August 19 from 3-6 PM at The Bullpen.
Admission to the event includes unlimited beer samples from some of the best local breweries the DMV has to offer. DC Brau, Flying Dog, and Atlas are just a few of the popular breweries that will be in attendance. If you purchase a VIP ticket, the party starts at 2 PM and you’ll even have access to multiple limited release beers!
What goes great with an ice-cold beverage? A nice hearty cup of chili from the best cooks in the region. You even have a say in who can claim the “Best Chili in in DC” by voting in the “People’s Choice” category! There will also be live music from some DC’s finest cover bands to keep the party going. Is there a better combination than chili, beer, and live music?
