Washington DC’s Metro area is not only a fabulous place to live and work, but it also offers up some of the tastiest food in the city. One of our favorite places to grab a quick bite to eat is 100 Montaditos.
Located at 300 Tingey St SE, 100 Montaditos offers up scrumptious Spanish-infused appetizers, drinks, salads and sandwiches. The really unique dining experience come from their bite-sized sandwiches offered in 100 different flavor combinations. Not only do they serve delicious styles with Spanish inspired dry meats, but they also offer traditional East Coast favorites like the Philly-cheese steak, meatball marinara, and even barbecue. The combination of flavors from all over creates a diverse menu that is sure to please any palate. They also specialize in several tasty veggie-friendly dishes that capitalize on all the best Basque country ingredients known to man.
Of course, the real selling point for 100 Montaditos is its incredible prices! The restaurant hosts amazing happy hour specials that make it well worth your time to head over to the Capitol Riverfront for a bite to eat. Happy hour includes $1 montaditos and $2 beers and $3 premium wine and beer. Even if you can’t make happy hour, the sandwiched always range from $1.50-$3 each, sangria comes by the mug for $4 or by the pitcher for $10 and you can get a 5 bottle bucket of beer for $12-20. That’s a steal that you’d be hard pressed to find elsewhere in DC!
100 Montaditos may have multiple locations throughout the country, but the atmosphere of this location and the Navy Yard neighborhood has it’s own unique vibe. Anyone who loves eating tapas style (and who doesn’t?) will love this dining concept, and if it is your first time, you are in for a real treat.
