One of the newest additions to the Capitol Riverfront is Whaley’s, a raw bar and seafood restaurant nestled between Osteria Morini and Agua 301 overlooking the Anacostia riverfront.
With a focus on local, sustainably-sourced seafood and refreshingly unique cocktails, Whaley’s provides a complimentary offering unlike anything else we’ve seen in the neighborhood thus far. Diners are already forming opinions about their favorite menu items, including the extensive raw bar offering, family-style seafood risotto, day boat scallop crudo and crispy squash blossoms stuffed with shrimp.
While seafood is the star of the show, those who prefer to stick to land-based fare will be delighted by options such as Roseda Farms coulotte steak, Ecofriendly Foods Pork Tenderloin and the baby arugula salad. Even when you don’t have the time to enjoy a leisurely meal, belly up to the bar and enjoy a happy hour of discounted cocktails and snacks such as Old Bay chips and crawfish hush puppies.
