We’re gearing up for another fun-filled Summer season here in Southeast DC! Each year, the Capitol Riverfront adds more events and activities for residents and visitors to enjoy. The best part is, most of it is free to attend! Kicking off June 4th, the Capitol Riverfront free outdoor movie series at Canal Park returns to make your Thursday nights a little more fun. These screenings will take place at Canal Park (just steps from Park Chelsea) every Thursday night starting at sundown, June 4th through September 3rd. Pack a picnic and head over to the park around 7pm to secure a spot!
This year, the picks were all selected or inspired by public demand and feature characters whose decisions shape the world, space and time. Here’s the lineup:
