Over the next few months, we’re giving our residents (and future residents!) an opportunity to get to know the Park Chelsea team a little better with a series of Meet the Team posts! Today, we’re hearing from your property manager Elizabeth on what brought her here, what she loves about the building and the neighborhood and what she’s up to when she isn’t hard at work!
How did you end up in DC?
My family relocated from Ventura, CA due to job offers.
What made you want to come work at Park Chelsea/The Collective?
Excited to have the opportunity to contribute to The Collective project and to be a part of a great property management company.
When you’re not working at Park Chelsea, where can we find you?
With family or friends exploring the city.
What are you Netflix-binging on right now?
Stranger Things, I hope there’s a season 2 in the works.
If you were to work from home, which Park Chelsea space would you choose?
Rooftop, when weather permits. I would also settle for the Library, love the ambiance.
How would you work on your wellness/fitness at Park Chelsea?
By utilizing the indoor lap pool, fitness center, yoga studio… everything you need is right here.
How does life at Park Chelsea allow residents to challenge themselves?
It challenges them with a vast number of opportunities to enjoy social events within the district, the neighborhood, and our building. Also, the Magnises memberships Park Chelsea residents receive upon move-in is an offering like no other.
3 words to describe Park Chelsea?
Elegant, Premier, Unsurpassed
What’s your favorite restaurant in the neighborhood and what do you order?
Justin’s Café, the Rutledge sandwich. Their guacamole is pretty good too!
If Park Chelsea were a drink, what would it be?
Old Fashioned. Besides it being one of my go-to drinks, it has a hint of sweetness, it’s edgy, and classic!
What’s a local organization doing good in our DC community that residents and readers should know about?
There are quite a few in DC… Some that I have volunteered at are Food and Friends and DC Central Kitchen. Food and Friends on Riggs Road provides specialized nutritious meals, groceries, counseling to people living with life-challenging illnesses. DC Central Kitchen on 2nd Street NW helps homeless shelters receive much needed food for their locations and also has a vigorous career program in their main kitchen that helps individuals restart in the workforce.
Where is your favorite spot to grab lunch in the neighborhood?
Sweetgreen, so refreshing!
Just sending this as a resident of almost 3 years. I just want to say Eugene who works at Park Chelsea front desk is the best! He deserves a raise, the man cares so much for his residents and always goes above and beyond. Just wanted to take a moment to give him a shoutout and the recognition he deserves for all the amazing work he does!
