Get to know your Collective team a little better with this series of Meet the Team posts! Today, we’re hearing from our Leasing Consultant Daniel Moss on what brought him here, what he loves about The Collective and the neighborhood, and what he is up to when he isn’t hard at work!
How did you end up in DC?
DC is one of the top markets in the country for multi-family real estate, so after finishing my time at Virginia Tech, this is where the jobs were. I was very fortunate to break into the industry doing leasing for new construction, which is a very rare opportunity for someone who is “green” to the industry.
What made you want to come work at The Collective?
The Collective offered me a special opportunity to be a part of a new and cutting-edge concept in apartment living: multiple phases of buildings with combined amenities, a “super-community” if you will. It gave me an opportunity to grow professionally while gaining the experience by leasing three more new buildings.
When you’re not working at The Collective, where can we find you?
In the summer I’m usually grilling out on the roof or laying by the pool. I spend a decent amount of time in the spin studio at Agora as well.
What are you Netflix-binging on right now?
The new season of Arrested Development. I’m less than impressed.
If you were to work from home, which Collective space would you choose?
I would either work in the Garden Room at Park Chelsea or definitely next to the Agora pool in the summer. Having all of those outlets next to the lounge chairs is definitely a good sign.
When you want to unwind at the end of the day, where do you go?
To bed!
How would you work on your wellness/fitness at The Collective?
I pretty much live in the steam room, and really love the Peloton bikes.
How do you think life at The Collective allows residents to thrive?
The Collective offers total convenience. Having the luxury of such a large suite of amenities really gives the ability to stay healthy by working out, socialize at one of our many resident events, relax in one of the awesome hydromassage beds, or lay by one of the pools. What more in life do you need, am I right?
Where is your favorite spot to grab lunch in the neighborhood?
I’ve recently been addicted to Roti.
Where do you head for happy hour in the Capitol Riverfront?
I really like Scarlet Oak for Happy Hour.
