The Arboretum grounds boasts more than 30 varieties of cherry trees with the bonus of having a much more extended bloom period than most of the Cherry Blossom areas in DC.
The Arboretum grounds are open daily from 8 AM-5 PM, and admission is free.
The U.S. Capitol Grounds: You might not be privy to this location, but The U.S. Capitol grounds is an often overlooked place to enjoy a variety of cherry blossom types, including Yoshino and Japanese Flowering types.
