Couch to 5K: Join The Park Chelsea Team In Supporting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

As we get a little further into the new year, everyone around you will be making and breaking their resolutions. The number one resolution made in the US is losing weight/getting in better shape. If this resolution was number one on your list, we have an easy way to make sure you accomplish your goal this year.  Keep reading to learn how you can get involved with our team in supporting both your goal to get fit and our commitment to supporting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

There are a couple of tricks to not just making but keeping those New Year’s resolutions. The first trick is finding a team of support. Having other people rooting you on and holding you accountable, can get you off the couch on those days when you just don’t have your own motivation.

The next trick is setting a performance indicator. Choose a mini-goal for yourself that will allow you to see progress that you have made. Like, if your big goal is to run a half marathon, start by participating in a 5K.

The third trick is to share your goal with your friends. Once you’ve declared on Facebook that you are doing something, there’s no turning back because it’s now Facebook Official!
