Spring Events & Activities In The Capitol Riverfront

One of our favorite things about living in the Capitol Riverfront is all of the events and activities that happen right here in our own backyard.  There are a number of events happening over the next month or so; here is a roundup of everything we have to look forward to!

Drink The District Clover Beer Fest

When: Saturday, March 18th, 2 sessions: 1-4pm & 6-9pm

Taste On Wheels: Green Eggs & Kegs

When: Sunday, March 19th, 1-6pm
What: This edition of the food truck series will feature an Irish breakfast theme featuring a signature “taste” item priced $3 or under. Every General Admission attendee will receive a drink ticket with their admission, and Bottomless Drinks ticket holders will receive unlimited pours of green beer and mimosas.

Cherry Blossom Wine & Beer Festival

When: Saturday, Apr 1st, 1-pm, 6-9pm; Sunday, Apr 2nd, 1-4pm
What: This annual celebration offers tastings of 100+ beers and wines, unlimited full pour beverages, access to DC area food vendors, and live entertainment all day!

CBS Radio Nationals Opening Day Block Party

When: Monday, April 3rd, 10am-1pm
What: Live music, frosty beverages, a live pregame show and much, much more before the Nats play the Marlins at 1:05 pm at Nats Park.

Sakura Matsuri Japanese Street Festival

When: Saturday, April 8th, 10am-6pm
What: A main event of the DC Cherry Blossom Festival and produced by the Japan-America Society, Sakura Matsuri is the largest one-day celebration of Japanese culture in the United States. Performers and vendors travel from all over the country and the world to Washington, DC to share their love of Japanese culture and traditions with festival attendees through art, cuisine, and performances.

Anacostia River Explorers Tours

When: Wednesdays & Fridays, Spring – Summer
What: Educational group boat tours about the history, wildlife, environmental threats and measures in place to protect the Anacostia River.
