Unleashing the Capitol Riverfront’s Newest Park

Bark and Go: The Capitol Riverfront’s Newest Neighborhood Dog Park is Coming Soon!

Before the summer season, we revealed some exciting news: a brand new public dog park will open on the corner of New Jersey Avenue and H Street SE (100 H Street SE). We are thrilled to announce that the wait is nearly over! The Bark and Go Dog Park will officially open on Thursday, September 6th.

In conjunction with CSX and The Capitol Riverfront BID, WC Smith has transformed this previously underused area of land into a space that residents of the Capitol Riverfront can utilize and enjoy on a daily basis. Both pets and their owners will be able to enjoy this new 3,000 square foot area from sunrise to sunset every day. While your pets play around the fenced-in park, take a seat on one of the park benches and enjoy the views of “Shidahiku”, the new Anthony Howe kinetic sculpture that has been installed.

To celebrate the opening of the dog park, we will be co-sponsoring an Unleashing Ceremony with the Capitol Riverfront BID. This will be a neighborhood-wide event where we can come together as a community to celebrate this great new addition to our neighborhood!
